about
Serious Pilgrim:
Peter Bavaro - bass, vocals
Tom McGivney - drums, vocals
Martin Rivas - guitar, vocals
Mick Wieland - guitar, vocals
New York City's Serious Pilgrim released a total of three demo cassettes between Autumn 1989 and Autumn 1991... this third cassette, "Rest It On Your Face," was released on CD a year later. These digital files were pulled directly from the CD without any re-mastering work being done to them.
At the time of the release of "Rest It On Your Face," Serious Pilgrim were playing very steadily all over the eastern US, but mostly at what they considered their home, NYC's CBGB, playing there nearly twice per month. They were also opening for national acts at venues like the Wetlands Preserve, the Lone Star Roadhouse, and The Ritz (now and formerly Webster Hall).
Many people consider Serious Pilgrim to have been a bit ahead of their time... and of those people, a percentage greater than 31.6% consider "Rest It On Your Face" to be their finest hour. So here it is, at long last, for you to stream or download. Hope you enjoy it.
